Our Story
Broad Konnect was founded in 2023, with over 15 years of IT hardware experience.
We realised that our industry imports and sells millions of devices each year, with little regard for where all the tech and waste ends up.

We set out to create an industry solution to the growing toxic e-waste problem in the country, with a primary objective to ensuring that used technology can be disposed in an ethical manner.

The Challenge
Not many corporate companies had structured programs for disposing of their assets and e-waste, and required assistance.
Working with professional disposal sites, we embarked on a successful 3-year plan to encourage compliant disposal of end-of-term assets and electronic waste.
This would ensure that devices are eproperly recycled into their commodities to avoid landfill or illegal export.

Disposing of IT Assets is complex. It requires a knowledge of Asset Management, Logistics, Risk Management, IT Hardware and Services, Data Security, Environmental Legislation and much more.

We ensure that your electronic waste is compliantly disposed.
We transport, storage and processing of electronic waste.
All eWaste is recorded in and out of our facility by weight.
Electronic goods are dismantled into different materials (Plastics, Metals, Motherboards, Components, Cables and more) to maximise recycling and minimize landfill.

Hazardous material can be collected by special arrangement to ensure all safety protocols are strictly adhered to and legislative requirements are met.

Our reporting process is transparent, accurate and fair, providing you with auditable reporting and record keeping.
These Certifications enable you to pass risk and prove your own compliance to the various legislations.

Certificate of Disposal
This certificate is used to provide summarised verification of the assets disposed of by you and compliantly processed by Broad Konnect (Pty) Ltd (including environmental disposal).

Data Security Certificate
This certificate is used to record and provide verification of the destruction of data by means of Sanitization or/and Destruction. Further to this.
